The Beetle Man! is drawn from a recent trip the Harvard Museum of Natural History and follows the tradition of dioramas. The exterior of the box is treated with photocopy transfers of advertisements for The Beetle Man in the style of sideshow posters with imagery taken from historical engravings. The interior of the box is filled with botanical models constructed from strips of paper and glue. The box itself is constructed of Butterboard with four viewing holes cut into the exterior.
